A Child's Garden of Verses (1885)

For those who have not studied much Stevenson, A Child's Garden of Verses is a collection of poems.  Here is one from this collection, that I found particularly cute.  It reminded me of Peter Pan. My Shadow (Robert Louis Stevenson) I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me, And what can be the use of him is more than I can see. He is very, very like me from the heels up to the head; And I see him jump before me, when I jump into my bed. So, unfortunately, my reading of Artemis Fowl was interrupted, and I am at this point, unable to complete it...That series will, sadly, have to wait for another time.  On the bright side, I will begin assessing the writings of Robert Louis Stevenson, a prolific British author.  I am studying Stevenson, his life and writing in one of my English classes at my university.  The first two stories that I will be reading of his are "The Plague-Cellar" and The Pentland Rising: A Page of History 1666 .  A little later on, we will be reading Treasure Island , so keep posted.
